Is there a simple way to assign one specific genre to display in the music table? For example, only rock and roll are displayed, or only jazz genre songs are displayed etc.

Yes, You have to use index.php?commfilter= in URL, for example:

www.ecolora.org/index.php/demo/commedia/...hp?commfilter=Trance

It searches in genre, artist name, song title and file name.

Or You have to put all files into subfolders according to their genre:

www.ecolora.org/index.php/demo/commedia/...o/showing-subfolders

Ok awesome thanks a lot thats exactly what i was looking for. as i see it right now, it appears that each subfolder gets a folder icon next to it, any way i can use a different icon for each genre? thanks again for the help

Yes.

Simply put file called 'default.jpg' into each folder and Commedia will show it instead of current icon.
